We are…
a small group of professionals who want to bridge the gap between the resources needed to run meaningful digital programs and smaller organizations that have valuable collections, services, and products but lack the resources available to large organizations.
Sirca is headed by digital curation expert Julie Goforth. Julie has worked on digital curation projects with the Smithsonian Institution Archives, the Library of Congress, and the Edwin Washington Project. She has developed websites for Oatlands Historic House & Gardens, the Waterford Foundation and the Edwin Washington Project, among others. Julie is also an experienced graphic designer.
In addition to Julie’s expertise in digital cultural heritage and front-end design, Sirca leverages the talent of parent company GSI, which has experts in web development, machine learning, data analytics, databases, and security.
We are experienced with processing large amounts of digital files (including audio/visual media), metadata, long term preservation, and access. Most importantly, we understand the principles of responsible digital stewardship.
